Geoprospectors’ Topsoil Mapper is on its way to UK

After the first Topsoil Mapper (TSM) sale to China some weeks ago, Geoprospectors has reached an agreement to work in partnership with UK based precision crop production company SOYL to bring the Topsoil Mapper sensor system to the UK. The TSM an innovative sensor system is set to make variable depth cultivation a much more cost effective option for growers in the UK.

“After a period of intense product development and an initial positive response from the market, we are glad that we have found an innovative distribution partner for the launch of the Topsoil Mapper in the UK” explains Michael Pregesbauer, CEO, Geoprospectors.

Speaking of the agreement with SOYL commercial director, Simon Parrington, he recaps: “The Topsoil Mapper is the perfect complement to our patented AUTOdepth variable depth system. Working together they provide a true on-the-go variable depth cultivation system.

“Inaccurate cultivation depth can be harmful and this combined system ensures the correct cultivation depth is used for every soil type in the field.  The potential benefits are significant and we have seen diesel savings in addition to improved work rates through reduced load on machinery,” continues Mr Parrington.

Agricultural development manager, David Whattoff explains: “The Topsoil Mapper works seamlessly with the SOYL AUTOdepth system enabling many growers to benefit from variable depth cultivation using their existing cultivation equipment.”

To sum up, Mr. Pregesbauer said: “After a successful appearance together with SOYL at Cereals Exhibition mid of June in Cambridgeshire, GB and numerous talks with interested potential customers, we are confident, that the British market is ready for our technology, that farmers will implement it, especially in combination with SOYL AUTOdepth, and integrate the TSM to their agricultural management.

Geoprospectors will furthermore take part in the forthcoming Tillage-Live Show on the 14th of September 2016 in Monks Kirby, Warwickshireand interested people are welcome to join us for discussions and exchange of ideas concerning the function, the results and the concrete application of the Topsoil Mapper.
