Innovative tools in current agricultural practice

Zakrzow, Poland 22nd/23rd of May 2017

Agrocom Polska and Saatbau Preisgut organized a conference at the Palac Lucja in Zakrzów on May 22 and 23, 2017 for mostly Polish farmers and researchers from the agricultural sector.

In the morning conference session, representatives from industry and research explained advantages and disadvantages of different working methods. The interest of the attending farmers showed that precision agriculture is by no means a marginal issue. Companies are increasingly using modern technology in Poland. In line with the heading of the event, innovative agricultural tools were presented in a field trail on both days. The landlord, Siegmund Hermann Dransfeld, made the land for the conference and demos available. He himself took the opportunity to present the Kirotetz K-700A, which was specially upgraded for this event.

Agrocom installed an ISOBUS on the 30-year-old device, which delivered the Topsoil Mapper data directly to a Köckerling Vector. A sensor attached to the hydraulic cylinder delivered actual values, which were compared with the setpoint values determined by the Topsoil Mapper in the control unit. This enabled the EasyShift device to continuously adjust the working depth to the actual conditions of the ground. On the two afternoons, the participants had plenty of opportunities to experience the unique combination of state-of-the-art technology and proven technology. "This is an impressive demonstration that precision agriculture can work as a supplement to traditional working tools. In this way it is possible to keep investments for modernization on a farm within reasonable limits, "said Jerzy Koronczok from Agricom Polska.
