Silver medal for innovation awarded to Geoprospectors at Agritechnica 2015 in Hanover
On November 8th 2015 Geoprospectors' CEOs Michael Pregesbauer and Matthias Nöster have been awarded at the Agritechnica exhibition in Hanover by Carl-Albrecht Bartmer, the president of the German Agricultural Society, with a silver medal for innovation for the development of the Topsoil Mapper. The laureates of Agritechnica 2015 were honored during the official opening of the exhibition in the presence of Bartmer, the premier of Lower Saxony Stephan Weil and Germany's farming minister Christian Schmidt.
Agritechnica is the world's largest trade fair for agricultural technology taking place from November 9th until 14th in Hanover, Germany. In 25 Halls over 2,900 exhibitors present latest agricultural developments and machines for modern plant production. Geoprospectors' Topsoil Mapper has been first showcased to the public at the Agritechnica 2015. The Topsoil Mapper is a flexible and user friendly measurement system for efficient non-invasive mapping of soil parameters that for example can be used for subarea specific control of tillage machinery or targeted output of fertilizers.
The Topsoil Mapper has been selected for a silver medal by an independent commission consisting of science-, research- and consulting advisors from 311 submitted applications, alongside other prized innovations. Particular value has been placed by the experts on practical relevance of the innovation. Further assessment criteria were significant improvements of function, method as well as benefits in regard to performance.
